On 8 June 2016, the UN Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in Eritrea (COI) reported that there were reasonable grounds to believe that Eritrean officials had committed crimes against humanity in a widespread and systematic manner since 1991. The COI provided detailed evidence relating to specific crimes of enslavement, imprisonment, enforced disappearance, torture, reprisals and other inhumane acts, persecution, rape and murder.[4] READMORE
